I went ahead and did it - I put FSBO listings on my site. I decided to put only one picture of the property up and show only the essential info. I don't disclose the owners home phone number to avoid junk calls. I have the sellers sign a form giving me permission to advertise their property and indicating they will coop with me if I bring a buyer. Hopefully, this is a win-win situation. I already have one listing posted on it - I intend to seek out more.
With todays market being soft, I wanted to think outside the box. When I first started making plans to post FSBO listings on my site, I was asked by a few of my fellow agents "Why would you post those on your site - they aren't paying you are they?" I had to think about it for sometime. Was I shooting myself in the foot? Would I be spending too much time on the FSBO additions? In the end, I believe I made the right decision - we are here to assist and educate the public about Real Estate. The tree didn't just show up one day - it all started with a seed.
Please, tell me what you think about the addition. Thanks!
